The former French president was sentenced to five years for criminal campaign conspiracy three weeks ago
Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy was granted conditional release from prison on Monday, less than three weeks after he began serving a five-year sentence over plot to obtain secret campaign funds from the late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.
Sarkozy, who was found guilty of criminal conspiracy to finance his 2007 election campaign in September, has been moved to house arrest.
