THE Associated Press, the New York-based newsagency that relentlessly beat the Fauci-is-a-hero drum during the Covid-19 “plandemic”, has attempted to defend the establishment narrative that the source of the Covid-19 virus is still mysterious and unproven.
President Donald Trump has published his view that it came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology on the White House website WhiteHouse.gov. It repeats the claim he made about the virus in 2020.
The web page refers to a publication titled “The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2”, which Trump says “was used repeatedly by public health officials and the media to discredit the lab leak theory” and “was prompted by Dr Fauci to push the preferred narrative that COVID-19 originated naturally.”
The website lists five main reasons refuting the “natural origin” theory:
1. The virus possesses a biological characteristic that is not found in nature.
2. Data shows that all COVID-19 cases stem from a single introduction into humans. This runs contrary to previous pandemics where there were multiple spillover events.
3. Wuhan is home to China’s foremost SARS research lab, which has a history of conducting gain-of-function research (gene altering and organism supercharging) at inadequate biosafety levels.
4. Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) researchers were sick with COVID-like symptoms in the fall of 2019, months before COVID-19 was discovered at the wet market.
5. By nearly all measures of science if there was evidence of a natural origin it would have already surfaced. But it hasn’t.
Meanwhile the AP, who have been privileged information gatekeepers since 1846, setting daily news agendas for US and international media, employed their typical method of selective objectivity in reporting Trump’s website message.
“A US federal website that used to feature information on vaccines, testing and treatment for Covid-19 has been transformed into a page supporting the theory that the pandemic originated with a lab leak,” AP reported.
The implication here is that what was once a government-owned public health-focused website offering the public practical assistance to fight a deadly disease, has now been downgraded to one citing a conspiracy theory.
The report continues: “The covid.gov website shows a photo of US President Donald Trump walking between the words “lab” and “leak” under a White House heading. It mentions that Wuhan, China, where the coronavirus first began spreading, is home to a research lab with a history of conducting virus research with “inadequate biosafety levels”.
“The web page also accuses Anthony Fauci, the former director of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, of pushing a “preferred narrative” that Covid-19 originated in nature.”
We can hear the AP editors thinking: “Oh how dare he imply that our greatest icon of public health, Dr Anthony Fauci, was pushing a false narrative!” And then comes the AP’s great “authoritative” statement: “The origins of Covid-19 have never been proven.”
“Scientists are unsure whether the virus jumped from an animal, as many other viruses have, or came from a laboratory accident. A US intelligence analysis released in 2023 said there is insufficient evidence to prove either theory.”
So there we have a brilliant example of bureaucratic cover-up by obfuscation: “No-one knows the truth. We’re all unsure. You could be right, you could be wrong. We just don’t know.” And like the hard-nosed journalists they are supposed to be, the AP says “Yes, we agree.”
The AP goes on to repeat the standard Covid-19 narrative unchanged since 2020. There’s no mention of inadequate mRNA vaccine testing, mRNA related injuries and deaths, the ineffectiveness of mRNA shots, fudging of Covid statistics, severely flawed PCR testing, the unconventional and illegal locking down of populations and so on.
“Public health data was scrubbed, particularly any information involving transgender people. The Pentagon also removed photos that were believed to celebrate diversity, equity and inclusion,” the AP reports.
“The covid.gov site used to include information on how to order free Covid tests and described how to stay up to date with your Covid-19 vaccine, saying it’s “the best way you can protect you and your loved ones”.
“It advised people how to get treatment right away if they get sick and added links to learn more information about long Covid. About 325 Americans have died from Covid per week on average over the past four weeks, according to the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention.
“As of April 5, less than a quarter of adults in the US have received an updated Covid vaccine. Millions worldwide have had long Covid, with dozens of widely varying symptoms, including fatigue and brain fog.”
