Israel strikes missile launchers in western Iran after Iran fires 12 missiles

The ceasefire was declared. The missiles kept coming. Hours after President Trump announced that the ceasefire between Israel and Iran was “now in effect,” the Israeli Air Force launched precision strikes on missile launchers in western Iran. These were not symbolic targets. According to Israeli defense officials, the launchers were armed and positioned for another wave of attacks on Israeli territory. They were destroyed before they could be fired.

Iran had already launched six waves of missiles. Twelve in total. Only one found its mark. That single hit killed eight Israelis and injured thirty more. The rest were intercepted or fell short. Israeli radar tracked the launches in real time. The Iron Dome and David’s Sling systems were activated across the northern and central sectors. The one that got through struck a residential area near Netanya.

The Israeli Defense Forces confirmed that the launchers targeted in western Iran were part of the same battery responsible for the earlier barrage. Satellite imagery showed the remains of mobile platforms near Kermanshah. The strikes were carried out by F-35I Adir jets operating from undisclosed locations. No Israeli aircraft were lost. The operation lasted under 30 minutes.

President Trump posted on Truth Social shortly after the strikes. “The ceasefire is now in effect. Please do not violate it.” The message was directed at both sides. But the timing was pointed. Israeli officials insist the strikes were defensive. They claim Iran violated the ceasefire first by preparing a seventh wave. Tehran denies this. Iranian state media accused Israel of using the ceasefire as cover for further aggression.

The numbers are stacking up. Since the start of the conflict, over 400 Iranians have been killed, including multiple senior commanders. More than 3,000 have been injured. Iran’s retaliatory strikes have killed at least 24 Israelis. The Israeli government says it has achieved its primary objectives. But it also warned that any further violations will be met with force.
