Feds just hit a North Carolina fire equipment plant. ICE, FBI, ATF, DEA, Marshals, CBP all on site.

The trucks rolled in before noon. Black SUVs. Unmarked vans. Tactical gear. Kings Road in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, turned into a federal staging ground. The target was Buckeye Fire Equipment Company. The charge sheet is still sealed, but the agencies involved tell the story. ICE is leading. The FBI, ATF, DEA, U.S. Marshals, and Customs and Border Protection are all in the mix. Local police are standing by, but they’re not running point.

Homeland Security Investigations confirmed a federal criminal search warrant was executed on June 25. The operation is active. No arrests have been officially announced. No charges have been filed in court. But agents have been seen moving in and out of the facility since early afternoon. Witnesses say employees were separated, phones were confiscated, and some individuals were escorted out in cuffs.

The company is not a small-town outfit. Buckeye Fire Equipment has held contracts with the Department of Defense and the Small Business Administration. Federal procurement records show active listings as recently as March 2025. The firm supplies fire suppression systems used in military vehicles and government buildings. That puts it squarely in the national security supply chain.

Sources close to the investigation say the probe centers on aggravated identity theft and the employment of unauthorized workers. That would explain ICE’s lead role. It would also explain the presence of CBP and the Marshals. The scale of the operation suggests this wasn’t a paperwork audit. This was a coordinated enforcement action with tactical support.

Local media captured footage of agents in tactical vests entering the facility. Employees were reportedly herded into a breakroom and told to remain there until cleared. Some were issued colored armbands to indicate citizenship status. One witness said blue bands meant U.S. citizens. Others were not marked.

The Kings Mountain Police Department issued a short statement. Their role is limited to any state-level charges that may emerge. All federal inquiries are being routed through Homeland Security Investigations. No further comment has been provided.
