Corporate America has become a machine built on greed, layoffs, and fake values, and it is eating itself alive – Citizen Watch Report

Corporate America has turned into a machine that exists only to feed itself. It is built on greed, layoffs, and fake values, and it is starting to eat itself alive. The serious question is how did it get this bad. How did corporate America become so openly repulsive.

The formula is simple. Fire as many people as possible to make the quarterly numbers look better. Shred loyalty, treat employees as disposable, then brag about “efficiency gains.” Buy back stock to pump the price and enrich executives who already sit on obscene compensation packages. Preach about values in slick marketing campaigns, but gut entire divisions behind closed doors. It is profits over people every single time.

The obsession with branding and DEI statements is not about respect or inclusion, it is a shield to distract from the rot. Companies roll out polished diversity initiatives while simultaneously squeezing wages, offshoring jobs, and eliminating pensions. They smile for the cameras while treating their own workforce with open contempt.

The truth is most corporations now see their employees as a line item to reduce, not human beings with families and futures. Layoffs are celebrated on Wall Street. Hiring freezes make stock prices jump. Workers are not partners in success anymore, they are a cost center to be minimized. Stock price is all that matters, no matter the human toll.

This is not capitalism driving innovation. It is corporate cannibalism. Short-term greed dressed up as strategy. The same playbook repeats again and again. Slash jobs, boost shares, cash out, and leave the wreckage for someone else to clean up.

It has become a disgrace. A hollowed-out system where companies no longer build, no longer inspire, no longer care. They are parasites on their own people, and sooner or later the foundation they are standing on will give way.
