CANDACE Owens has personally viewed the video controversially removed from a camera that was attached to the back of the tent in which Charlie Kirk was killed.
The video confirms that Kirk was not killed by a round from a high-velocity 30-06 rifle. “There was no blood, there was no gore,” said Owens in a video released during the week.
Owens had recognised the man removing the video, as shown in footage shown after the shooting and contacted him. She said he was fearing the consequences of his action and was considering taking it to the feds. She advised against that and urged him to simply release the footage.
The man eventually agreed to let her see it on his computer. “What surprised me most was what I didn’t see,” she said. Owens did not go into detail about the footage, except the lack of blood and gore, which there most certainly would have been had Kirk been hit with a 30-06 bullet.
The man was technically committing a criminal offence by interfering with a crime scene by taking a chair (the one that Kirk sat on, according to one internet sleuth) and stood on it to disconnect the camera. Subsequent video footage showed him removing the SD card from the camera. Strangely, no crime scene had been taped off at the time.
Owens’ investigation of the shooting appears to have prompted a media campaign of harassment. She received a flurry of emails from media organisations asking her to confirm if she would be attending Kirk’s memorial service.
And then an article by the Daily Mail’s US correspondent falsely claimed she had been “raging” after “being snubbed from the Charlie Kirk memorial speaking roster”.
“The Daily Mail asked right-wing provocateur Candace Owens on Thursday to share details of her relationship with Charlie Kirk, and whether or not she planned to attend or speak at his memorial service in Arizona on Sunday,” the report stated.
“Owens alleged earlier this week that billionaire Bill Ackman was angered by Kirk’s souring views on Israel and that ‘threats were made,’ by Ackman weeks before Kirk’s death – a story that has triggered fierce backlash and fueled an online rumor mill of conspiracy theories, including that Israel was somehow responsible for Kirk’s death.
“The rumors got so pervasive that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had to directly deny them on two separate occasions.”
“When did this happen,” Owens asked after reading the introduction to the alleged story. “It’s made up, it’s just all made up,” she said after reading a Daily Mail email enquiry sent to Turning Point USA, who Owens previously worked with.
Owens said her team had received “way too many emails about Charlie’s memorial” and all of them asked her to confirm if she was going. “It didn’t feel good to me, it didn’t feel authentic,” she said.
She then showed a segment from the PBD (Patrick Ben David) show with hosts asking these very same questions about her attending the memorial and a TPUSA board member saying he had not seen Owens since 2015 and that she had fallen out with Kirk because “she went down the rabbit hole”.
Owens added that anyone could attend and tickets to attend the memorial were being sold to the public. However, since she has been attacking the feds, she felt it was “probably not a good idea” for her to attend an event being organised by them.
“I’m not going to this memorial because it’s strange. To lie like this is strange. For context, just to show you how odd this is, I spoke at Turning Point’s conference – two conferences last year. It’s so easily like I said debunkable, that you have to ask yourself why they are saying it.”
Owens then shows a video clip of her speaking at a TPUSA conference in 2024, making comments she said that got Charlie Kirk in a lot of trouble. The comments were about “America first” and explaining that it meant putting “this country’s interests before the interests of foreign countries overseas – all of them. I don’t care.” The audience cheered.
Owens also said she went on tour with Turning Point in 2024 – a fact recorded on their website and showing the six university locations. In the meantime the organisation had received threats from donors over Owens.
“Now they are pushing these headlines that are so far beyond the realm of reality that I just showed you, where they say that I’m angry.
“And then when you look into who’s writing these articles, like Victoria Churchill, you note that she has a connection to AIPAC (America Israel Political Action Committee). So AIPAC is pushing this, right? The answer is implied by the people who are attacking me. They are all ultra-Zionists, right?”
Owens then showed a social media post by Ms Churchill in which she’s sitting in the audience at an AIPAC conference in 2018, and comments rather curiously “Good thing the US/Israel relationship is definitely worth it!”
Owens said she also had a large number of Turning Point employees reaching out to her and what she was hearing was “a very dark story” involving donors, sponsors and influencers – “a takeover of sorts that I think was happening right under Charlie’s nose.”
Owens said she believes Kirk was betrayed by people very close to him and the evidence to this point in time showed there was “definitely some weird activity happening at the organisation” involving finances.
“I have been given names and I intend to now embark on this lengthier investigation which I need more help on. I’ve reached out to some journalists. I’m sharing information with them, and I think were going to discover that this was ugly, uglier than we could have ever imagined.”
She said there was a desperation to cover up such an investigation and the smears against her were “radical” in attempting to suggest she had no contact with Kirk for years. In fact Kirk had shared his concerns about Israel and threats to free speech in the months leading up to the assassination.
