CHARLIE Kirk’s close friend Candace Owens says Benjamin Netanyahu has “severely misrepresented” a letter he received from Charlie Kirk and held up in a public announcement made within a few hours of Kirk’s death.
Netanyahu came out saying Kirk was a great friend of Israel and that he had recently invited him, in a phone call, to visit the country. Kirk turned down the invitation. He also rejected a large monetary offer from another person for his Turning Point USA organisation around the same time.
The fact of the matter is that Kirk had long been an ardent supporter of Israel, but had recently began to question the tactics of the Israel lobby in the US and in particular the pro-Israel billionaire Bill Ackman. He outlined these concerns in the letter to Netanyahu.
“Charlie was concerned about Israel and their influence on American politics and how they were pushing things that he felt were in conflict with his beliefs – free speech here in America.
“Bibi’s holding it (the letter) up like Charlie, just in May, said ‘hey I just want to write a love letter to Israel’. That’s how it was presented but that’s not how it happened,” said Owens in her broadcast.
“Regarding that phone call and that invite, that also needs to be contextualized,” she said. She then ran a clip of Kirk (see 11min 25s) talking a month ago to Megan Kelly about the kind of pressure he was under.
In the video Kirk says he wants Israel to win but then goes on to complain that “my moral character is now being put into question”.
Kelly said Christians were expected not to question or criticize Israel and Kirk responded “it’s worse than that”.
“If I were to be charitable and generous I would say that the people attacking me are in a hyper-paranoid state because they’re at war. And war tends to make things black and white and you’re a hammer looking for a nail.”
Kirk went on to ask the question “what would it be like if all of a sudden I’m starting to see a pattern of behaviour similar to what my grandparents saw in 1930s Germany, online? How would I behave?” Kirk then added the kicker: “It’s not defensible to be dumb, right?”
Owens explained that Kirk was under an increasing amount of pressure, not just from people telling him they were upset about the people he was inviting to events, but “flat out telling him he was not allowed to invite certain people to his events”.
Owens says when Kirk was recently in the Hamptons an “intervention” was staged by Bill Ackman “because Charlie’s thoughts, Charlie’s rational thoughts about Israel, were a no-no”.
“Charlie was surrounded by his friends – his group of quote unquote friends – and Bill Ackman was very upset – threats were made is what I am told and I will tell you that I am very happy for Bill Ackman to dispute this narrative, in fact he was asked to dispute this narrative”.
Owens said Max Blumenthal went out to Ackman who “did not provide receipts” about how it went down. Owens said she knew what happened and was waiting for someone to go on the record and say it didn’t go down as she was told.
She said it was at this time that Charlie was called by Netanyahu and she believed it was a matter of Kirk being under duress. She said she also knew that Kirk was offered “a ton of money in this moment” for Turning Point USA.
“I know for a fact that Charlie denied that funding … he also declined to go to Israel – for what I would describe as re-education camp.” Owens said she had seen and experienced this tactic.
“You know we just need you to come out to Auschwitz to take a picture. We need you to come to the Holocaust Museum and take a photo. We just need you to go to Israel and we can make this better. Charlie said no to Bibi.”
Owens challeged Bill Ackman to provide a different account of the events but said her sources were “solid”.
Meanwhile the FBI is investigating a series of social media posts that appear to indicate prior knowledge among the “Transtifa” community of a big event awaiting Charlie Kirk”.
A. Gene Robinson posed on X that on September 9th, the day before the shooting, multiple trans activists posted that “something big will be happening to Charlie Kirk tomorrow.”
“Two days later he was assassinated. This wasn’t random. It was foreshadowed, coordinated, and carried out. They knew. Elon Musk was right: this has all the markers of a terrorist cell. Christians are tired of being hunted. We still will not bow,” Robinson posted.
Another post titled “Breaking” announced: “Another far left Trans account had prior knowledge of Charlie’s assassination. That’s now 6 transgenders that had prior knowledge of the murder. Where is the FBI?”
The agency was already investigating various social media posts connected to Kirk’s death.
“The man suspected of killing conservative influencer Charlie Kirk was part of a Discord chat group that had more than 20 members currently being probed by the FBI,” Director Kash Patel told Fox News on Monday.
“Our investigation at the FBI is ongoing, and there are scores of people in this Discord chatroom,” Patel told the Fox & Friends program.
“But we have to effectuate legal process,” he said. “We have to go out there with a search warrant so that if prosecutors want to later use this evidence, it’s not tainted by being illegally obtained.
“We, the FBI, are running the investigation pointly on the Discord chat group. There are scores of individuals that are going to be spoken to.”
Patel said the FBI had also used cell data to triangulate the locations of other people with whom the suspected killer, Tyler Robinson, was in communication.
Elsewhere in the interview, Patel also discussed the FBI has learned of the existence of a written note supposedly written by Robinson where the alleged killer purportedly declared, “I have the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and I’m going to take it.”
