President Donald Trump has made good his plans to enhance ‘Fortress America’ after his visit to world leaders earlier this year and the warnings he gave then and since to the UK, Europe and Australia are starting to hit home.
For Australians wanting to holiday in the US, they will soon have to provide five years of social media records, telephone numbers and email addresses, as well as face, fingerprint, DNA and iris biometrics.
On examination of Trump’s agenda these dystopian, intrusive, identification methods are an affront to Australian visitors but not unexpected.
But forcing Australian tourists to undergo such Orwellian character checks reeks of double-speak.
PM Albanese as a purported close US ally was warned. “Fall into line with MAGA policies” or accept the consequences. The Labor government has done everything but fall into line.
More and more inefficient and ugly renewables purchased from and installed across the country by China at extraordinary cost have aggravated Trump no end. While America abandoned renewables overnight we put up more each day, destroying the economy, farms and the social fabric of regional Australia.
Then to add insult to injury the Labor government employed an American woman with dubious ties to intelligence as the chief censor for Australia who then tried to shut down the internet for under 16’s but has a hidden agenda of introducing Digital ID which Trump had warned about and millions of Australians are protesting against.
Net Zero and climate change are being ramped up every day by Labor and Greens much to the disdain of the US administration which has shut down its Environment Department and any mention of carbon capture in the US would surely get you a one-way ticket to Alcatraz.
Australians, Kiwis, Poms and the other malcontents are now starting to feel the pain.
The eCommissioner is about to fall on her sword presumably leaving space for Albanese when last week a quiet announcement by Preston Byrne, managing partner of a little-known law firm, Byrne & Storm, P.C. , Boston and Head of Legal and Compliance at Arkham Exchange, saying he had prepared a retaliatory internet bill which will go before Congress in the next few weeks. It is the Guaranteeing Rights Against Novel International Tyranny & Extortion Act, or GRANITE.
Cairns News broke the GRANITE bill story two days ago resulting in thanks and congratulations from some unexpected quarters to say the least for revealing the intent of this legislation which we have been assured is backed by the President.
Essentially the bill will allow US tech companies such as Facebook, Instagram, X and others to file in US courts to counter-sue at triple the amount of any fine levied against US companies by foreign countries for not adhering to their internet laws, such as Australia’s Under 16 ban.
In effect Australia’s Online Safety Amendment (Social Media Minimum Age) Act 2024 now is ultra vires.
Labor and Liberal leaders were warned by Cairns News and other independent media for much of this year about taking notice of reasonable and sensible suggestions by Trump which eventually, if taken on board would have returned Australia back to the stable, economic powerhouse it was just 30 years ago. It is too late now, the US goose has flown.
The UN tools and fools of Labor and Liberal have yet to wake up to the fact – America owns the internet and Blackrock owns Australia.
