London’s Blade Runners strike again: “Av some o’ that Mayor Kahn!”

Date:

LONDON’S notorious “Blade Runners” have continued their multi-year campaign against the city’s eco-bureaucrats whose so-called Ulez (Ultra Low Emissions Zone) high-tech cameras punish motorists with instant fines for the “offence” of driving an older vehicle that is assumed to pollute the air.

Elect another Labor-Green Federal Government and Australians are likely to see similar schemes operating in our major cities. We would not be surprised to see the leftie Liberal Party-dominanted Brisbane City Council try an Ulez scheme to give themselves a warm inner glow.

The Blade Runners, as the video shows, are not averse to doing a job in broad daylight. They often employ some of the best of British humour in the process. “Oh look, the traffic light fell down!” a man with a cockney accent exclaims.

In another video a dismembered high-tech Ulez camera hangs above the footpath on a bit of rope with a hat and sunglasses placed on it. “Oh look, it’s been lynched – lynched from his own Ulez pole. How terrible!” says the Cockney man. Noting that it appears to be protected from the sun, he applies some SP-30 sunblock spray.

Apparently the Metropolitan Police caught up with one of the Blade Runners named Matt Hardy who posted on X from outside a court that each of the cameras was valued at £6,125 or AUD$12742. He was pleading not guilty to stealing two Ulez cameras.
