The Labor Western Australia government has constructed a ‘ring of steel’ mass surveillance around the city using 100 high definition fixed cameras similar to those installed in Queensland.
The ANPR cameras, erroneously claimed to be number plate recognition technology by government and police are high tech with top quality, digital recording capabilities which can send real time images to central computers at police HQ or the Main Roads Department offices.
They have infared capabilities and can capture every occupant of a four seater car or peer into a sleeper cab of a truck.
Police make fatuous claims these cameras reduce the road toll and help them capture criminals while motorists know they are used for revenue raising and monitoring the movements of citizens.
These cameras are capable of taking your picture and matched with your number plate details, are stored in a data bank ready for facial recognition tied to Chinese-styled social credit which Labor intends to roll out by 2030.
